Open up command prompt<br />

1. Go to windows search on the bottom left hand side type in "command prompt"<br />
click on the icon that looks like this:<br />

2. When comand prompt opens up type in the following: <b>chkdsk C:  </b>(C represents the drive letter you are looking to check disk on) and click enter this will give you the intergirty of the drive, for example in this case it's NTFS file format </div>

If the volume is in use, Check Disk displays a prompt that asks if you want to schedule the volume to be checked the next time you restart the system.
